Quick Overview
In the summer months, along Oak Creek Canyon we came across the sun-baked carcasses of crayfish. They are the bits left untouched by herons that fished and feasted along the length of the stream. Back at our studio, we bleached and varnished them before displaying them on an antique dental tray that we purchased at Larry's Antique Shop in Cottonwood. A small length of twig disguises the nail on which it hangs on the wall.
