Details
On one of the busiest intersections in downtown Hilo, sits this deserted, picturesque service station. Once a heavily populated area, this section of the bay front was wiped out by a tsnami in 1960. Today this area is a tsunami zone, and used for primarily for recreation. We suspect the tsunami zone restrictions keep this property from being developed in any useful way.
